Your Visit

We are located at 4 Gentle Walk in Doreen. Access is via a footpath, and you will find that the best parking is on Dargo Cres, near the corner of Birkdale Rd. Take a small stroll up Gentle Walk to number 4. If you are unsure, don’t feel silly about giving us a ring to confirm!

Please feel free to come a few minutes early to relax.

Shampoo service is included in all hair cut and colour services, and full EFTPOS facilities are available.

Please err on the side of caution and do not attend if you are unwell. Any queries regarding COVID-19 practices are welcome, please feel free to ring and have a chat.

Sustainability

Sustainable beauty is at the heart of Rivergum.

I use Davines products to care for us and the earth, and work with a resource recovery service Sustainable Salons to ensure that Rivergum’s environmental impact is as small as possible. (And yes, I do accept ponytail donations). $3 is added to each appointment to facilitate this service.

Rivergum supports Empoweraid to provide pathways to employment for vulnerable women.
Currently, those projects are in Timor Leste and Bangladesh, and sometimes Australia.

You’re welcome to book online also of course, but I understand that choosing a new hairdresser is not a small thing! Sometimes a chat is really helpful for figuring out if I’m going to be a good fit for you - no shame there. Please call and do leave me a message if I don’t answer straight away. (I don’t answer the phone while I’m in the salon, so might need to get back to you.)
